Thank you for your wonderful website. I enjoyed looking at the photos. It is a
beautiful city.  I was born there in 1960 and have been living in the US since
1985.  I remember that Kazan had several mosques.  Is it possible to include
photos of Tatar-related places?  Thank you again for your efforts to acquaint
the world with this wonderful city.

Hi, so neat to see your website. It is in my bookmark and on my screensaver (hope that's okay)! We visited Kazan a year ago, but it seems like yesterday. I don't want to forget it. Your photos brought back good memories. I would be interested to see that new mosque that was going up when we were there (april 1998); although I can't remember where it was. Near Prolomnay somewhere (?) or across from the Kremlin(?). But if not, that's alright. I will visit this website often, anyway! Sincerely, Mike & Micki Roberts

Thank you for your site. I visited Kazan in August 1999, only for one day but liked the city very much. I especially found the museum about the Tatar people very interesting.
I enjoyed seeing these photos of your city during the winter season.

I have a very dear friend in Kazan who lives on Pionerskaya Street -- in all of your photos I am wondering if there are any that show this street or the area around this street?  Your site is magnificent and I appreciate that I am able to see Kazan via the web.  Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, I had camera problems and was not able to bring many photos back with me. So visiting your website and viewing all of the nice photos you have displayed has been a great pleasure.

I am now engaged to a wonderful woman from Kazan and I hope to be back in Tatarstan sometime in early 2002. Maybe we'll have an opportunity to meet over some tea or something?

Dear Victor,

I came across your site: http://www.akm.Kazan.ru/Kazan/ in the process of doing some research on heritage sites in Russia. I am trying to source images for credited use on our website. Would it be possible to use some of your images of the Kazan Kremlin? The Global Heritage Fund (GHF) is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving irreplaceable cultural heritage sites in developing countries.

Who Are We?

The Global Heritage Fund (GHF) endeavors to preserve cultural heritage sites around the world in conjunction with UNESCO, ICOMOS, major universities and other organizations. GHF provides regional preservation efforts with matching funding, development planning, and trained project teams, as well as an international GHF volunteer network of expertise to draw from. Over 90% of funds raised go directly to on-site preservation and restoration projects.

Global Heritage Fund sites are recognized for their significant historical contribution to the study of culture and development, including the formation of society, language, technology, art and architecture. GHF sites include culturally significant historic buildings, archaeological sites, city districts, townscapes and monuments in developing countries.

Please let me know if you have any questions about our projects. Our website will be up in the next couple of weeks, at which time I can send you the URL.

Dear Viktor,

I staid in Kazan' for almost a year in 1994/5, and your pictures brought all my memories back to surface. The renovation that has been done since "my" time is really amazing. What happened to the old wooden living quarters with their wonderful rezba and terrible infrastructure? Are they still there and inhabited?
How I wish I could go there again.
Thanks a lot for this site

Hi Viktor,
I really enjoyed seeing your photographs. I felt like I was there again, walking in the streets, wandering around... Please continue to renew the site. Do you have pictures of Kamal Theatre? Or tramway stops? I think including photographs of people in Kazan would be an added value to it. Thank you for sharing your photographs of this exceptionally beautiful city!

Hi Victor Komarov, While surfing Yahoo today, I saw your site www.akm.Kazan.ru/Kazan1000, and enjoyed it very much. I write this, so that others might notice the site too. Please cut and paste my note to "Your Letters" since there are no other RECENT year 2003 notes there. Your photos were most informative, and the historical heritage taught me a lot. So glad to see the modern appearance of the University.
